Falling for Lionheart
Graphic novel. Published in 2010 by IDW.
Leo "Lionheart" Hartfield would trade all his powers, all the money and fame he enjoys as one of the city's top superheroes, for his teammate Angela's love. As it is, he just channels his frustrations into autobiographical mini-comics about his unrequited feelings. But everything changes when Cassandra, an aspiring alternative cartoonist, gets to read them...!
"Funny, touching, and full of visual fireworks. Kyriazis shows us that the course of true love doesn't even run smooth for superheroes." MIKE CAREY (X-men Legacy, the Unwritten)
"It's so meta that it's beautiful, and so sweet that it hurts." BECKY CLOONAN (Demo, American Virgin)
"I don't know if I fell for Lionheart because it was such a damn touching story disguised as an all out super hero fight fest... or it was because it was pure Ilias on words, pencils and everything else!" SCOTT LOBDELL (Uncanny X-men, Generation X)
